They are intended as an overall guide to the month in question, each with a ‘theme’, and a relevant Tarot Card that operates over two months. For the Tarot I used a Horoscope Spread whose twelve positions represent each of the twelve signs. Any card then chosen applies specifically to that sign for the two months under consideration. But there’s also another powerful astro-technique here involving the moon, for this is a monthly horoscope with a difference. Read on …

LUNAR HIGHS AND LOWS – CHANGING YOUR LUCK WITH THE MOON

The moon has a long history in the realm of astrological prediction, and its role in the ever changing fates of human beings is a powerful one. As part of the monthly horoscope I present one of the secret astrological forecasting techniques that not only works, but is simple to figure out. It works like this: for the two and a half days when the moon moves into your sun sign, you’re having your ‘peak’ days of the month; when it moves into your opposite sign, these are troughs, or low points. Think of it roughly as a kind of ‘new moon’/’full moon’ set up, but one which applies especially to your sun sign.

It’s like being on the road when the sign ahead says either ‘go’ or ‘stop’, hence, the shorthand ‘Lunar High’ or ‘Lunar Low’. You don’t even need to worry about working out your opposite sign, as you can read what happens on your lunar lows in the given readings. Obviously, I’ll tell you exactly when they occur in the section that applies to you. Just click on the appropriate month further down and find your sign.

WHAT THE LUNAR HIGHS DO

What happens on a peak day, or in a ‘High’ period is obviously good for you. It isn’t necessarily lucky, but it does have overall beneficial results. Energies tend to be more plentiful and you are in the ‘flow’ of things, as the Taoists might say. If you’re a fan of Eckhart Tolle and following his mindfulness teachings, it is easier to be in The Now and enjoying the Presence on a Lunar High day. This naturally leads to improved performance at work, relationships are more harmonious and your focus is good. Vitality – depending on your overall state of physical health – should obviously be up and you can get more meaningful things done at these times. Magicians and spell-workers should be putting out their healing energies into the Universe on a lunar peak day. Creative people will get more inspiration, as the muse is strong. And who knows what will happen when you buy that scratch card or lottery ticket?

All in all, a Lunar High is an excellent time for getting what you want, whatever that means to you. Whether it is trying to persuade the boss to give you a raise, or win over hard to deal with human beings. You could even have what appears to be appalling luck on these days – but wait; what transpires later may just prove to be a blessing in disguise!

WHAT THE LUNAR LOWS DO

During a lunar low period you are apt to find that what happens is not exactly in your best interest. Impediments arise in unexplainable ways and you’ll soon see that your powers are limited, somehow. Maybe it’s because of the depletion in energy – you are likely to run out of steam quicker than at other times. Any influence over others may be minimal and there is little else to do but go with the flow, if you can. Suspending certain plans is a wise move – they may run into difficulty. This is the time in the month to get a complete rest from striving – take it easy, chill out, meditate, get spiritually recharged! Helping other people out with their dreams and schemes or problems is not a bad idea, though! It’s a time to be more charitable and show some empathy.

If you have an ephemeris – and they’re easy to obtain online for free – you can look beyond the current month(s) to when your personal Lunar High/Low days occur in the future. This can be done with the free Swiss Ephemeris, and if you want to obtain one for your personal use, click here. (Just click the button next to 50 year files, 5000 BCE to 3999 CE. They can be downloaded in individual or multiple year formats.) Obviously the glyph for the moon looks like this: d

Nor do you need worry about working out your opposite sign to discover the Lunar Lows:

Aries x is opposite to Libra X
Taurus c is opposite to Scorpio C
Gemini v is opposite to Sagittarius V
Cancer b is opposite to Capricorn B or Z
Leo n is opposite to Aquarius N
Virgo m is opposite to Pisces M

To find when your Lunar Highs and Lunar Lows occur each month, just check on the dates I have shown. Plan ahead to be doing something important on the Highs; stay out of trouble and rest on the Lows.
